Mini art dance focuses on the human body, digital culture, the recreational and pscychedelic environment, but above all, on ASCII art.

The stationary figure created in Ascii of a female figure in the act of dance, includes short phrases in English and Spanish, a form of poetry which invites the spectator to interact with her. On clicking on the different phrases, small flash animations appear in pop-up windows. Each phrase link has its own animation window, and as many of these can be opened as the spectator wishes. If he/she wants to open all windows at the same time, a chaotic sound-effect is produced.

Experimentation with sounds. The spectator transforms a little into the artist as it is him/her that chooses the order which allows the different animations to be seen. He also transforms into the composer, being able to combine different sounds, and for this reason, each time the work is visited, a different and individual experience is produced.

The theme of a woman or young person dancing alone, with rhythms and movements which repeat themselves infinitely, speaks to us of the necessity to escape towards recreation. Through dance and contact with music, we are able to create a world apart in our minds. I am interested in the psychedelic atmosphere, because of the reference it shares with an epoch in history (The Flower Revolution), in which young people discovered parallel realities in their own internal worlds, and on discovering the rich depths of their own existence, began to rebel socially against the world and its established forms. This eventually led to great social change.

mini art dance se centra en el cuerpo humano, la cultura digital, lo lúdico y ambientación psicodélica. Pero sobre todo, en el arte ASCII.

La figura estática creada en Ascii de una figura femenina en actitud de baile, incluye frases cortas en inglés y español, una poesía que invita al espectador a interactuar con ella. Al hacer "click" en las distintas frases, van apareciendo pequeñas animaciones en flash, en ventanas pop-up. Cada frase-link tiene su propia ventana-animación, y estas pueden estar abiertas en el número que el espectador desee. Si quiere puede abrir todas las ventanas al mismo tiempo, lo que produce un efecto de sonido caótico.

Experimentación con sonidos. El espectador se convierte un poco en autor al elegir el orden que va visitando las diferentes animaciones, y también se convierte en compositor, al ir combinando los diferentes sonidos, por lo tanto, cada vez que se visita la obra, es una experiencia diferente e individual.

La temática de una mujer o un joven bailando en soledad, con ritmos y movimientos que se repiten infinitamente (así como cada animación nos transmite una sensación de soledad infinita), nos habla del escape necesario hacia lo lúdico, el como a través de la danza y del contacto con la música, vamos creando un mundo aparte en nuestra mente. Me interesa la ambientación psicodélica, porque hace referencia a una época histórica (La revolución de las flores), en que los jóvenes descubrían realidades paralelas en sus propios mundos internos, y al ir descubriendo la profundidad y riqueza que su propia existencia, se fueron rebelando socialmente al mundo y formas establecidos. Y esto repercutió finalmente en un gran cambio social.
